This is the G180Z for my Isuzu 117 Coupe. New main and rod bearings, new rings, light hone to get a good
crosshatch, head fully redone, all new seals and gaskets. She’s getting
there. If all goes smoothly, maybe we can hear life out of her sometime
next week!

Yay! I love the styling on the 117...will be great to see her back on the road!
Is that it under the cover on the left in the background?

That is indeed her in the back corner. I can’t wait to get it back on the road! At the moment, just waiting on a new clutch and a set of spark plugs and I can pop the engine back in the engine bay. Then another day or two of tidying up and hopefully she’ll be back on the road before the end of next week.

I was wondering if someone would notice that, haha.

I’ve only ever rebuilt 3 engines now (the G180Z in my 117 Coupe, the G180SS in my Isuzu Bellett and a 12A in an RX-7 I had), but I’m willing to add a fourth to the list! What happened to the Dustymobile?

Lost a cylinder on the drive home yesterday. Thinking burnt valves
